As a rule, a service with oil change every 15,000–30,000 km or once a year, whichever comes first, following your manufacturer’s plan. In city driving, short trips and cold starts wear the oil out faster than the odometer suggests.
In our experience, most expensive breakdowns started life as postponed maintenance: degraded oil that ends in a turbo failure, worn pads that take the discs with them. Official service vs. basic service: which does your car need?
Quick answer: if your car is under warranty, an official service with book stamping; if it no longer is, a well-done yearly basic service is usually enough.

Do I lose the warranty by servicing outside the dealer?
No. EU rules allow maintenance at an independent garage without voiding the factory warranty, provided the manufacturer’s schedule is followed and original or equivalent-quality parts are used. We stamp the book and keep parts traceability.
Which oil do you use?
The one your manufacturer specifies: exact viscosity and standard (ACEA/API and brand approvals). The right grade is essential in modern engines with particulate filters.
How long does a service take?
A service with oil and filter change is usually ready the same day with a morning booking. Full official services can take the whole day depending on the model.
Do you check cars before long trips?
Yes, it is one of our most requested jobs before holidays: levels, brakes, tyres, lights and air conditioning. Book a few days ahead in August and at Christmas.
